The Konica C35 of 1968 is a 35mm camera and first of a series of four cameras from Konishiroku. Its appeal to the general public was obvious from the start: it was a compact, light and simple to use camera with an excellent lens that was distinctly wider than average for the time and that took good photographs because it could be focused accurately. It was an outstanding sales success throughout the world.

The Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex is a twin-lens reflex camera made by the Zeiss Ikon conglomerate in the years immediately preceding and after WWII.

An improvement of the Ikoflex Ia, it looks similar but has a folding side shutter release and hood folds in one action. Aperture/speed in magnified windows by the taking lens. Even though the lens is cocked separately from the film winding, the camera has double exposure prevention! Also, if the film counter has counted past ‘12′ then you have to reset it back to ‘1′ before it lets you shoot again as well.
There are actually four shutter interlocks:

• Double exposure prevention: make sure the film is wound to the next position
• No film interlock: if the film counter is past ‘12′ then the camera will not shoot. Load film and/or reset film counter to ‘1′
• Waist-level finder interlock: chimney finder has to be in the open position
• Shutter cocked interlock: OK, it’s not a real interlock and obviously the camera won’t shoot if the shutter isn’t cocked, but after winding the film it’s easy to forget

Beirette Electronic is an aperture preferred semi-automatic camera. It is manufactured between 1981-1988 by Kombinat Carl Zeiss Jena in DDR. Programmed shutter speeds are from 4 to 1/500 sec. and the X-sync at 1 / 30 sec .

[The Nikon EM was the Rodney Dangerfield of the Nikon line, the model that "can't get no respect." Despite this, it was in some ways my favorite model.

It was held in disdain for two reasons:

• It was Nikon's first model with a plastic exterior. The thing is, that in the same era, Nikon competitors were making lots of models with plastic main body castings and metal-like plastic exteriors, while the Nikon EM was all metal inside where it counts. Even the self timer had all metal gears!
• The EM was aperture-preference autoexposure only (aside from a manual 1/90 for flash or emergency use.) Snobs dismissed it as suitable only for clueless snapshooters because it "lacked creative control" of exposure. That was actually a bum rap, because the film ASA (DIN) speed dial was quite prominent and easily accessible. When I used EMs a lot I would frequently adjust the film speed when I needed to compensate for difficult lighting situations. This worked just as well as setting manual shutter speeds/f stops.

The EM was Nikon's least expensive model, and was also the lightest and smallest F mount camera ever made. It took just as good pictures as the lordly F3, since it used the same lenses.]

I have to agree with Sheldon, it is a very nice camera, nicer than the FM/FE series in several ways. The EM is almost as compact as the Canonet QL17 GIIIs and accepts a huge range of lenses, uses the abundant LR44 button battery, and above all that, spots the cutest advance crank!
